What factors shape inclusive education policies in Indonesia, and how do these impact children with disabilities? Join us for an enlightening online lecture titled “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Advancing Inclusive Education in Indonesia”, presented by Dr Gianfranco Giuntoli from the University of New South Wales on Friday, 29 November 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Jakarta time).
This lecture will explore Indonesia’s inclusive education landscape within the frameworks of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. Dr Giuntoli will discuss the impact of inclusive policies on social inclusion, well-being, and access to education for children with disabilities, covering achievements and gaps across primary, secondary, vocational, and tertiary education. The session will feature engaging insights supported by visuals, such as graphs and diagrams, and interactive activities to encourage participant involvement.
