Join Our Lecture on “Leading Across Cultures: Tools and Strategies to Lead Effectively in Cross-Cultural Contexts”

How can leaders navigate the complexities of cross-cultural dynamics to inspire and empower diverse teams? Join us for an enlightening online lecture, “Leading Across Cultures: Tools and Strategies to Lead Effectively in Cross-Cultural Contexts”, presented by Dr Jessica Genauer from Flinders University, on Friday, 1 November 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Jakarta time).

This lecture will explore the core principles of effective leadership in cross-cultural environments, introducing participants to essential tools and strategies they can apply professionally. Emphasising the importance of intrinsic versus positional leadership, Dr Genauer will guide attendees to self-evaluate their leadership styles and provide strategies to enhance their cultural capability.

During the session, participants will learn to distinguish between cultural intelligence, cultural competency, and cultural capability. Dr Genauer will introduce a comprehensive framework encompassing four vital components for effective cross-cultural leadership: knowledge of context, a strengths-based approach, a culturally safe conduct cycle, and awareness of core-periphery structures. Attendees will engage in practical applications of each component tailored to their unique professional contexts.

Graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions from Indonesia interested in attending this event are encouraged to RSVP using this link by Wednesday, 30 October. As a token of appreciation for participation, attendees will receive an e-certificate.
