People with disabilities face barriers daily. Often the most difficult barrier is overcoming stereotypes of people with disabilities. Barrier removal requires expertise, collaboration, advocacy and legal backing. Everyone can play a part in educating themselves about these barriers and learn how to create new pathways to ensure our society is as accessible and inclusive as possible.
In this tenth episode, OzAlum Dr Antoni Tsaputra, a civil servant and researcher at Australia Indonesia Disability Research and Advocacy Network (AIDRAN) and Cucu Saidah, founder of Bandung Independent Living Center (BILiC), an organisation of people with disabilities, discuss how can we become an all-inclusive and accessible society? How can we change the way we view disability and collaborate with the community of people with disabilities to break down barriers?
