To explore parents and care givers knowledge and perceptions of childhood stunting in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province
Tto explore parents and/or care givers understanding of social and environmental determinants of stunting in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province
To provide policy recommendations for acceleration of stunting reduction in West Nusa Tenggara Province by producing more creative stunting related health initiatives that will be modified based on this research finding.
To examine social factors (social and environmental determinants) that lead to an effective program to reduce stunting.
Project Description:
The proposed research project will seek an understanding about knowledge and perceptions among parents and care givers of the social and environmental determinants of childhood stunting in West Nusa Tenggara Province.
This research will solve the problems by:
Providing information and evidence that will be used to make recommendations to improve public health policy and practice areas to reduce stunting prevalence in the targeted region and in Indonesian
Providing information that can be used to develop programs that will improve knowledge about stunting among parents or caregivers, health workers and policy makers. Programs to improve knowledge and perceptions of parents and care givers will be delivered through workshops, seminars as well as by providing parenting guidelines in handbook and video promotion
