Are you enthusiastic to learn how to apply the gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) lens to Indonesia’s energy transition road maps and energy policies? We extend a warm invitation to submit your application for the Australia Awards Short Course on Mainstreaming GEDSI in Indonesia’s Energy Transition!
This two-week short course is tailored for professionals in the energy transition and policy field, such as those from government institutions, energy sector state-owned enterprises (SoEs), civil society organisations (CSOs), think tanks, and research institutes. The course covers the intersection of Gender Equality, Diversity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) with energy transition. It explores the principles of a "just" transition, emphasising its significance in the Indonesian context.
Participants will delve into identifying stakeholders, recognising gaps and challenges in energy transition, and exploring policy options for the government, including the role of state-owned enterprises. Operational frameworks, guidelines, and toolkits essential for integrating GEDSI into energy policy will be discussed. The course also draws insights from Australia's and international best practices in just energy transition policies and initiatives, offering networking opportunities with Australian counterparts.
